    Hi CUSA Family,

    I’m new to CUSA this year, but not to the district or virtual learning. I’m looking forward to working with you all this school year. Together we can overcome challenges during these unprecedented times.

    ZOOM

    We will use the Zoom platform to meet for our speech-language therapy sessions. To enter the room, enter the meeting room ID and password. Please login to the therapy room at the students’ therapy time (times were sent via email. I’ll send reminders of upcoming therapy sessions. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions).

    GOOGLE CLASSROOM

    Google classroom will be used to send work to give students more opportunities to practice those skills targeted during speech-language therapy sessions. This work isn’t mandatory, but more practice (of a skill), will help your student make progress.

     

    WELCOME TO OUR ACADEMIC NIGHT!

    Please look over the descriptions below to choose a FUNshop and which way you will go…  

    • Pre-K and K Grades

    Ms. Barnes’ FUNshop Activity centers on the beloved children’s book, “PETE THE CAT”. Bring your paper and crayons and find out what antics Pete is up to during this make and take activity! 

    Ms. Colarusso’s FUNshop will take you on an exciting, MATH mystery scavenger hunt. She will also show you how to use UNO cards to promote learning.

    • First and Second Grades

    Ms. Moore’s & Ms. Zinar’s FUNshops will demonstrate a twist on the old game favorite, Chutes and Ladders. They will also have you moving and shaking with Fitness Fluency and Math Facts interactive party. Next, wind down during a read-aloud of Rainbow Fish as you enjoy watching the teachers create a fancy fish to help beautify our school. 

    • Third Grade

    Ms. Mahoney’s FUNshop will take our scholars through an exciting variety of MATH activities and resources using technology. Come and play games that families can play together. 

    Ms. Dicus’ FUNshop will be a hoot while you and your child play a friendly game of grammar KAHOOT! 

    • Fourth and Fifth Grades

    Mr. Moon’s FUNshop will allow students to play MATH and ELA games to raise money to help feed the world!  For each answer our scholars get right, participating sponsors send the cash equivalent of 5 grains of rice to the World Food Program who then uses it to save and change lives! 

    Here’s what you need to know… READY, SET GO!

    1. Each FUNshop session will be 30 minutes (Please stay for the entire session)
    2. You will have an opportunity to participate in 3 FUNshops
    3. The FUNshop sessions are divide by grade
    4. Feel free to attend any FUNshops listed below

    *Make and take activities are optional. You can still participate even if you don’t choose to participate in the “Make and Take” portion of the FUNshop.

    NO WORRIES if you can’t get to all of FUNshop activities tonight! Check back with us because all directions, videos and lessons presented will be posted on CUSA’s webpages for you and your scholars to enjoy at later date.
